Product Manager RXE/CSS – Subject Matter Expert Imaging

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
In our AutoChem business unit, we develop synthesis, sampling and reaction analysis tools for scientists in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries that provide scientists the information they need to deliver life-changing products. Join our team as the Product Manager RXE/Subject Matter Expert Imaging 100% (all genders) in the AutoChem Zurich site (Nänikon-Greifensee) and support the fast-growing business opportunity within our unit.

Overall product management responsibility for a product line worldwide with an emphasis on geographical, application and industry segments. Act as subject matter expert for imaging technology for the RXE/CSS SPG.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks: 
  • You define and manage the entire product line life cycle for all released RX10 products. You provide leadership in project teams, generating, communicating, and specifying new product ideas or enhancements to existing products.
  • Additionally, you develop and implement the product line marketing plan in collaboration with all departments to ensure effective execution.
  • You identify opportunities for new products and product extension and you support market management efforts in developing new markets.
  • You serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Observation technology across RXE/CSS product lines.
  • You coordinate with Particle Systems Characterization (PSC) Marketing and Software Marketing to maintain a consistent vision and application of observation technology across all AutoChem product lines.
  • You monitor the market to identify unmet or evolving customer needs as well as track competitive activities.
  • You develop and maintain a strong network of customer-based opinion leaders to help identify market opportunities and provide feedback on product ideas.
  • Together with the Market Manager, you develop technical sales tools and provide all necessary technical sales training programs for your products.
What You Need to Succeed
Following requirements are necessary for this role: 
  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in natural science, ideally in Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • You gained a couple of years of relevant work experience in a global matrix organization in product Management
  • You have experience and understanding around image analysis and machine vision
  • You possess strong leadership and strategic thinking skills to motivate cross-functional teams and develop product strategies that align with market needs
  • You have a solid technical acumen in life science instruments, combined with exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities to present information clearly and navigate challenges effectively.
  • You demonstrate flexibility and collaboration, working effectively with external partners and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • We require professional communication skills in English, German is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel about 10%
